Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support the Student Development Team in student engagement, pastoral care, and intervention.
• Provide pastoral care, mentoring, and support for identified students through regular engagement.
• Build positive relationships to support students' social-emotional well-being and resilience.
• Develop students' social-emotional competencies.
• Equip students with strategies for self-regulation and positive behaviour.
• Support discipline efforts, including during recess, corrective work, and detention/suspension.
• Observe and document students' needs and report to School Leaders.
• Maintain confidential documentation.
• Provide weekly feedback and follow-up actions to the team.
• Assist with other duties or programmes as assigned by the school.

Job description

Working hours

• Mon: 8:30am–3:30pm
• Tue: 9:00am–4:00pm
• Fri: 8:00am–3:00pm

Key Roles

• Support the Student Development Team in student engagement, pastoral care, and intervention

• Provide pastoral care, mentoring, and support for identified students through regular engagement

• Build positive relationships to support students' social-emotional well-being and resilience

• Develop students' social-emotional competencies

• Equip students with practical strategies for self-regulation, conflict resolution, and positive behaviour

• Support discipline efforts, including during recess, corrective work, and detention/suspension

• Support efforts to reduce latecomers and patrol corridors, classrooms, and after-school areas

• Observe and document students' key needs, behaviours, and concerns; report to the Student Development Team and School Leaders

• Maintain proper documentation while ensuring confidentiality

• Provide weekly feedback and recommend follow-up actions to the Student Development Team

• Support other duties or programmes assigned by the school

Requirements

• Preferably relevant qualifications/training in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Child Development, Youth Work, or related fields

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• At least 1 year of relevant experience
