Position Overview:
Working closely with the Aftersales Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and managing Parts & Warehouse Operations, covering inventory, procurement, warehouse processes and parts supply from setup through to full operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive parts professional who is hands-on, organised and enjoys building processes, improving efficiency and supporting the growth of a new automotive brand.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Setup & Launch
- Establish warehouse infrastructure, storage layouts, inventory location controls, SKU management and operational processes.
- Support DMS implementation, inventory master data setup and launch stock provisioning.
- Develop warehouse SOPs and inventory control procedures to support operational readiness.
Inventory, Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage parts procurement, purchasing activities, inventory replenishment and OEM, manufacturer and supplier relationships.
- Establish and maintain inventory planning parameters, including ROP, MI and stock optimisation strategies.
- Monitor inventory performance, backorders, inventory ageing and obsolete stock, while implementing corrective actions where required.
Parts & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse and parts operations, including receiving, storage, stock movements and parts issuance.
- Support workshop operations by ensuring accurate and timely parts supply.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits and root cause investigations.
- Prepare inventory and operational reports for management review.
Warranty, Compliance & EV Operations
- Manage warranty parts administration, returns and OEM compliance requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and traceability of batteries, high-voltage components and other safety-critical EV parts.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, OEM standards and audit requirements.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Guide and support parts and warehouse team members to work independently.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse, inventory and operational processes.
- Maintain a safe, organised and productive work environment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of automotive parts operations experience within a dealership, distributor, OEM or workshop environment.
- Experience in warehouse setup, startup operations or DMS/ERP implementation is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement, supplier management and warehouse operations.
- Experience with ROP, MI, inventory forecasting and planning, stock optimisation and warranty parts processes.
- Proficiency in DMS systems, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working in a startup environment.
- Proficiency in Chinese language (reading, writing and communication) is advantageous for effective communication with China-based OEMs and suppliers.
