Job summary

MAXHUNT RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is partnering with Hong Wen School to recruit a part-time Laboratory Assistant for 16 hours per week. The role focuses on maintaining a safe and orderly science laboratory, supporting teachers, and ensuring equipment and safety procedures are followed.

The ideal candidate has prior lab experience, basic digital skills for administrative tasks, and the ability to communicate with staff via email and messaging apps. The position is on-site in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Experience in a science laboratory environment, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Basic digital literacy for administrative tasks and communication with teachers via email/messaging apps.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Report faulty machines and display Out of Order signs until rectified.
• Dispose of broken glassware and breakages per safety procedures.
• Inspect Bunsen burners and high-risk items and secure after use.
• Maintain up-to-date stock and breakage records and notify supervisor for replacements.
• Check and replenish first aid supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Assist Science teachers in lesson preparation and post-lesson cleanup of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Science Head of Department.
