Job summary

Placement Professionals, LLC is seeking an experienced Part-Time General Insurance Executive in Singapore to manage and grow an existing GI portfolio and support new personal and corporate GI business. This role requires practical GI experience, handling quotations, renewals, and servicing with independence, reporting to the Agency Director.

Responsibilities include overseeing quotes, renewals, and servicing; coordinating with customers and underwriters; and building insurer relationships.

Qualifications

• Three years+ in general insurance
• Experience handling quotations, renewals and servicing
• Familiarity with insurer portals and underwriting details
• Strong communication with clients and underwriters
• Ability to work independently within scope of certification

Responsibilities

• Oversee quotes, renewals, and client servicing for the GI portfolio
• Review coverage and renewals; identify renewal opportunities
• Gather underwriting details and prepare quotes
• Evaluate premiums, exclusions, deductibles and terms
• Draft comparative quotations and paperwork for meetings
• Process applications, endorsements, cancellations and policy updates
• Follow up on documentation and receipts
• Support GI claims submissions through completion
• Maintain accurate CRM records for clients and policies
• Develop GI leads and pursue opportunities in personal and corporate lines
• Build relationships with insurers and clients; contribute ideas to improve lead generation

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time General Insurance Executive to manage and grow our existing GI portfolio while supporting the development of new personal and corporate general insurance business.

This is not a basic data-entry position. The successful candidate should have practical GI experience and be able to manage quotations, renewals and servicing matters with reasonable independence.

You will work closely with the Agency Director.

• 2-3 fixed full working days per week
• Daily Rate: S$160–S$200 per full day, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

Existing GI Portfolio:

• Oversee general insurance questions, quotes, renewals and account-servicing activities
• Examine current coverage and pinpoint policies coming up for renewal
• Communicate with customers and underwriters to gather underwriting details, quotes and coverage conditions
• Evaluate premiums, coverage, exclusions, deductibles and policy terms
• Draft quotation comparisons and supporting paperwork for client meetings
• Handle applications, endorsements, cancellations and other policy adjustments
• Follow up on outstanding documentation and premium payments
• Assist with GI claims submissions and monitor cases through to completion
• Maintain accurate client, policy, claims and renewal records in the CRM system

GI Business Development:

• Pursue prospective client enquiries and active business leads
• Spot opportunities within personal and corporate GI accounts
• Aid the expansion of motor, travel, home, personal accident and commercial insurance lines
• Help with corporate GI quotes and renewal reviews
• Build and maintain professional relationships with insurers, underwriters and clients
• Contribute practical ideas to improve GI lead generation, conversion and client retention
• Provide GI recommendations and support only within the candidate’s authorised and certified scope

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant general insurance experience
• Practical knowledge of GI quotations, renewals, policy terms, claims and insurer requirements
• Relevant General Insurance certifications, such as BCP, PGI and ComGI/CGI, will be strongly preferred
• Experience in an insurance agency, brokerage or insurer environment is advantageous
• Comfortable using insurer portals, CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and client-servicing skills
• Sales-minded, proactive and confident in following up on business opportunities
• Meticulous and able to manage cases independently
• Strong sense of responsibility and consistent follow-through
• Able to commit to two or three fixed full working days each week
• Must declare any existing employment, appointments or potential conflicts of interest

Remuneration

• Daily rate of S$160–S$200, depending on relevant experience and capability
• The daily basic rate, equivalent hourly rate and encashed public-holiday component will be clearly stated in the employment contract
