Job summary

MAXHUNT RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is recruiting for a Part-time FCE Assistant cum Kitchen Aide at East Spring Secondary School.

The role runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027 with options for 2028 and 2029. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 12:30pm, excluding lunch breaks during school terms. The ideal candidate will have a SkillsFuture SG Food Safety Level 1 certificate, strong communication and teamwork, and is proactive.

Qualifications

• Statement/Certificate of Attainment from SkillsFuture Singapore for Food Safety Level 1.
• Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with initiative.
• Relevant school experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist FCE teachers in preparing for lessons and activities.
• Maintain inventory and kitchen equipment, and process ingredient orders.
• Prepare and distribute portions while observing food hygiene requirements.
• Clean kitchens after each lesson, including floors and utensils.
• Conduct stocktakes of food and cleaning supplies.
• Assist at school events and other duties as assigned by leaders.

Job position: Part-time FCE Assistant cum Kitchen Aide

Name of Authority: East Spring Secondary School

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.

Option period: First option year: 1 January to 31 December 2028. Second option year: 1 January to 31 December 2029.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 12:30pm, excluding lunch break.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, June/November/December school holidays and gazetted public holidays.

Requirements

• Statement/Certificate of Attainment from SkillsFuture Singapore for Food Safety Course Level 1, or equivalent.
• Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with initiative.
• Relevant school experience is an advantage.

Job Scopes

1. Work with Food and Consumer Education teachers to prepare for FCE lessons.
2. Maintain inventory and kitchen equipment, and process ingredient orders with food suppliers.
3. Prepare and distribute food portions before practical lessons while observing food hygiene requirements.
4. Clean kitchens after each lesson, including sweeping and mopping floors and checking used utensils.
5. Conduct stocktakes of food and cleaning supplies.
6. Assist at school events and perform other duties assigned by School Leaders or Heads of Department.
