Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd invites applications for a Sales Support Technician to provide technical and laboratory support to the Sales team and customers in Singapore. The role focuses on paint preparation, color matching, recipe management, sample preparation, and effective technical service to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include Paint Preparation, Color Matching, Recipe Management, Sample Preparation, and Sales/Technical Support, with emphasis on lab safety and 5S.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in paint, coatings, color matching, laboratory, or technical service will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of laboratory practices and chemical handling.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in color matching and recipe preparation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with Sales and other internal teams.
• Willingness to support customer/site visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, withdraw, and re-pack paint samples according to customer and Sales team requirements.
• Ensure paint is handled, labelled, and stored appropriately.
• Perform color matching for water-based and solvent-based paints according to established recipes and specifications.
• Evaluate color accuracy and make necessary adjustments to achieve the required color standard.
• Develop and adjust color recipes within established guidelines.
• Propose appropriate color adjustments to achieve accurate, repeatable, and productive color results.
• Maintain accurate records of color recipes and adjustments.
• Prepare wet paint samples and dry panels according to customer and Sales team requests.
• Ensure samples are prepared accurately and consistently within the required timelines.
• Provide technical support to the Sales team in addressing customer color and product-related requirements.
• Assist with customer inquiries, product evaluations, and technical requests.
• Support site visits and customer complaint investigations where required.
• Work with relevant internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues and support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain good 5S, housekeeping, and organization standards within the laboratory.
• Ensure laboratory equipment, materials, and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, laboratory procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure safe handling and use of paint materials, chemicals, and laboratory equipment.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager, in line with the requirements of the role.
