Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially in color matching and recipe preparation.

• Willingness to support customer/site visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, withdraw, and re-pack paint samples according to requirements.
• Ensure paint is handled, labelled, and stored properly.
• Perform color matching for water-based and solvent-based paints.

• Develop and adjust color recipes within guidelines.
• Propose color adjustments for accurate, repeatable results.
• Maintain records of color recipes and adjustments.
• Prepare wet paint samples and dry panels on request.

• Work with internal teams to resolve technical issues and support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain laboratory 5S, housekeeping, and safety.

Job description

We are looking for a Sales Support Technician to provide technical and laboratory support to the Sales team and customers. The role will focus on paint preparation, color matching, recipe management, sample preparation, and technical service support to ensure customer requirements are met accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Paint Preparation & Handling

• Prepare, withdraw, and re-pack paint samples according to customer and Sales team requirements.

• Ensure paint is handled, labelled, and stored appropriately.

Color Matching

• Perform color matching for water-based and solvent-based paints according to established recipes and specifications.

• Evaluate color accuracy and make necessary adjustments to achieve the required color standard.

Recipe Management

• Develop and adjust color recipes within established guidelines.

• Propose appropriate color adjustments to achieve accurate, repeatable, and productive color results.

• Maintain accurate records of color recipes and adjustments.

Sample Preparation

• Prepare wet paint samples and dry panels according to customer and Sales team requests.

• Ensure samples are prepared accurately and consistently within the required timelines.

Sales & Technical Support

• Provide technical support to the Sales team in addressing customer color and product-related requirements.

• Assist with customer inquiries, product evaluations, and technical requests.

• Support site visits and customer complaint investigations where required.

• Work with relevant internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues and support customer satisfaction.

Laboratory Maintenance

• Maintain good 5S, housekeeping, and organization standards within the laboratory.

• Ensure laboratory equipment, materials, and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.

Safety & Compliance

• Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, laboratory procedures, and work instructions.

• Ensure safe handling and use of paint materials, chemicals, and laboratory equipment.

Other Responsibilities

• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager, in line with the requirements of the role.
