Job summary

Our client, a Fortune 500 global supplier of paints and coatings, seeks a color blending technician in Seletar Aerospace, Singapore. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM, on-site.

You will perform color matching, quality checks, and repacking with attention to safety and process SOPs. Responsibilities include using spectrophotometers to establish formulas, ensuring accurate labeling, and supporting productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum N level and above.
• Maintenance and lab sampling experience is preferred.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good interpersonal skills and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Color Blending: color matching and quality checks of coatings products.
• Use spectrophotometer or color match techniques to establish formulas and blends; perform corrections.
• Identify and correct color shifts and related issues.
• Sealants & CPS repacking: oversee repacking activities and quality checks.
• Ensure accurate packing and correct GHS labels for finished goods.
• General: adhere to EHS policies and handle materials/equipment safely.
• Manufacture finished goods per SOPs; meet daily targets; overtime if needed.
• Pack and palletize finished goods; assist with maintenance schedules for lab equipment.
• Participate in Productivity Improvement Teams (5S, Kaizen) and cross-functional activities.

Job description

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8AM - 5PM

Working Location: Seletar Aerospace, Singapore

Job Responsibilities:

Colour Blending:

• Responsible for color matching and quality checks of coatings products.
• Use spectrophotometer or color match techniques to establish formulas, blend and spray the color match, and perform corrections.
• Identify and correct color shifts and associated problems.

Sealants & CPS Repacking:

• Oversee Sealants & CPS repacking activities and quality checks.
• Ensure accurate packing and correct GHS labels for Finished Goods.

General Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company policies concerning EHS.
• Handle raw materials and manufacturing equipment, including manual pallet trucks.
• Manufacture finished goods according to process steps and SOPs efficiently and accurately.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision, meet daily production targets, and be available for overtime if necessary.
• Oversee product quality for both raw materials and finished goods.
• Pack and palletize finished goods manually and using machinery.
• Participate in Productivity Improvement Teams and practice methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen.
• Perform cross-functional production activities as needed.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules for coatings laboratory equipment.
• Liaise with the operations manager regarding production schedules.
• Possess working knowledge of color spectrophotometers.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum "N" level and above
• With maintenance and lab sampling experience
• Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good interpersonal skills – able to work well with all levels
• Self-Motivation and self-starting
