Job summary

Adhart Shipping Pte Ltd is seeking a Commercial Chartering professional to lead the Supramax cargo book across the Pacific region. You will build tonnage positions, nurture client relationships, and negotiate Charter Parties to maximise returns.

Strong knowledge of voyage economics and FFA hedging is essential. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably in an operating firm, with proven relationships among charterers, brokers or traders.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an Operating firm.
• Strong commercial understanding of Supramax dry bulk trading across the Pacific region.
• Experience negotiating Charter Parties.
• Good knowledge of voyage economics and vessel optimisation.
• Familiarity with FFA hedging.
• Established relationships with charterers, brokers or commodity traders would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build the cargo book within the Pacific region (spot and forward) and secure tonnage to cover positions.
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Negotiate and conclude Voyage Charter Parties, COAs and Time Charter fixtures to maximise commercial returns.
• Manage freight market exposure through Forward Freight Agreements (FFA) and market analysis.
• Work closely with Operations department to ensure smooth performance of voyages.
• Analyse emerging trade routes, cargo flows and market trends to identify new commercial opportunities.
• Generate and submit performance reports and other assigned reports in a timely and accurate manner.
