Job summary

heda renovation pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced international marketing and trading professional to lead growth in overseas markets, especially China, for building materials. You will source suppliers, manage import/export activities and coordinate with multiple internal teams to ensure smooth execution of trading transactions.

The role requires strong negotiation, relationship management and commercial acumen, with ability to develop new product lines and expand the company portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required as listed.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in international marketing, business development, trading, import/export or operations.
• Experience in building materials, construction materials or related trading businesses advantageous.
• Experience with overseas markets, especially China.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures, customs clearance, international shipping and trade docs.
• Experience sourcing, purchasing or trading construction and building materials.
• Good understanding of pricing, cost calculation, profit margins, budgeting and cash flow.
• Strong commercial awareness to evaluate trading opportunities (business and financial).
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, customers, logistics and internal teams.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple international activities.
• Experience in construction, building materials, engineering, renovation or related industries encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies for the company's building materials trading business.
• Identify and develop overseas markets, customers, suppliers and opportunities, notably in China and other international markets.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers of construction and building materials from overseas.
• Develop and maintain relationships with international suppliers, customers, contractors, developers and partners.
• Manage import and export activities for building materials, including quotations, POs, shipping, customs clearance and trade docs.
• Research prices, market trends, product availability and competitive conditions.
• Support negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with finance, procurement, logistics, project and operations teams to execute trading activities.
• Monitor financial and commercial aspects: purchase costs, selling prices, margins, payment terms and cash flow.
• Assist management in evaluating profitability and viability of new trading opportunities.
• Prepare market research, sales forecasts, business proposals and management reports.
• Assist in developing new product lines and expanding the portfolio.
• Support operations by coordinating between international suppliers, customers, logistics and internal departments.
• Attend business meetings, trade discussions and negotiations with overseas clients and suppliers.
• Monitor existing accounts and identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

• Experience in building materials, construction materials or related trading businesses will be highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience working with overseas markets, particularly the China market.
• Practical knowledge of import/export procedures, customs clearance, international shipping, logistics and trade documentation.
• Experience in sourcing, purchasing or trading construction and building materials will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of pricing, cost calculation, profit margins, budgeting and cash flow.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to evaluate trading opportunities from both a business and financial perspective.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, customers, logistics providers and internal operational teams.
