Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's international marketing and business development strategy with a focus on construction and building materials trading.
• Identify and develop new international markets, customers, suppliers, distributors and strategic partners.
• Lead expansion of building materials trading across overseas markets, including China and other key markets.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with overseas manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and major customers.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of construction and building materials including range, pricing, quality and terms.
• Oversee international sourcing, import and export activities including shipping, customs clearance and trade documentation.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, credit terms and delivery schedules.
• Analyse market trends, material prices, supply conditions, competitors and opportunities.
• Develop strategies for new building material products, suppliers and markets to expand trading portfolio.
• Monitor performance of trading activities including revenue, costs and margins.
• Work with finance to review budgets, cash flow and working capital.
• Assess financial and commercial viability of new projects, suppliers and customers before recommendations.
• Participate in business planning and strategic decision making.
• Coordinate with finance, procurement, logistics and operations to execute trading activities.
• Develop strategies to improve profitability and long-term growth.
• Represent the company in negotiations with international clients, suppliers and partners.
• Provide senior management with reports on markets, performance and risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's international marketing and business development strategy, with a strong focus on construction and building materials trading.
• Identify and develop new international markets, customers, suppliers, distributors and strategic business partners.
• Lead the expansion of the company's building materials trading business across overseas markets, including the China market and other key international markets.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with overseas manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, developers, distributors and major customers.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of construction and building materials, including product range, pricing, quality, supply capacity and commercial terms.
• Oversee the company's international sourcing, import and export activities, including shipping, customs clearance, logistics and trade documentation.
• Lead commercial negotiations with overseas suppliers and customers covering pricing, payment terms, credit terms, delivery schedules and contractual conditions.
• Analyse international market trends, construction material prices, supply conditions, competitors and emerging business opportunities.
• Develop strategies for new building material products, suppliers and markets to expand the company's trading portfolio.
• Monitor the commercial performance of trading activities, including sales revenue, purchase costs, gross margins, operating costs and cash flow.
• Work closely with the finance team to review budgets, cash flow, working capital, cost control and overall financial performance of international trading activities.
• Assess the financial and commercial viability of new projects, suppliers, customers and trading opportunities before making recommendations to senior management.
• Participate in the company's overall business planning, operational management and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with finance, procurement, logistics, project and operations teams to ensure effective execution of international trading and construction-related business activities.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability, operational efficiency and long-term business growth.
• Represent the company in important negotiations, business meetings and strategic discussions with international clients, suppliers and business partners.
• Provide senior management with regular reports and recommendations on international markets, building materials trading, business performance, financial matters and operational risks.
• Support the company's overall growth strategy and identify opportunities to diversify its international trading and construction-related business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, International Business, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in international business, marketing, trading, business development or company operations.
• Strong experience in overseas markets, particularly the China market.
• Demonstrated experience in building materials, construction materials, construction-related trading or international commodity/product trading.
• Strong practical knowledge of import/export procedures, customs clearance, international shipping, logistics and trade documentation.
• Experience in international sourcing and supplier management, particularly for construction and building materials.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience handling pricing, payment terms, supplier agreements and customer contracts.
• Good understanding of corporate finance, budgeting, cash flow management, working capital, cost control and profit margin analysis.
• Proven experience in company operations, business management or senior commercial management.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to assess business opportunities from an overall financial, operational and strategic perspective.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Able to work independently and make commercially sound recommendations to senior management.
• Experience in the construction, building, engineering, renovation or building materials trading industry will be highly advantageous.
