Job summary

ALLIED SEARCH PTE. LTD. is seeking an Optician (Specialist Clinic) to perform eye refractions, take precise measurements, and recommend suitable optical aids for customers.

The role involves adjusting spectacles and lenses, and maintaining detailed eye health records and purchase histories. Candidates should have the relevant ophthalmic dispensing qualification and be eligible for registration with the OOB.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification as listed: Advanced Certificate of Performance in Ophthalmic Dispensing and Refraction or Nitec in Opticianry or Diploma in Opticianry.
• Must be eligible for registration or registered with OOB.

Responsibilities

• Perform eye refraction for customers and take measurements using tools and equipment.
• Recommend appropriate optical aids based on findings and customer demands.
• Troubleshoot and adjust fitting of spectacles and ophthalmic lenses.
• Keep and maintain customers' eye health records and purchase history.
