Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking an Operations Project Management & Transformation professional to drive digital initiatives and optimize processes across the department. You will gather requirements, partner with IT, and lead cross-functional delivery including automation and system enhancements.

The role emphasizes strong analytics, communication, and change management to ensure timely, within-scope project outcomes. Office-based in Tampines with comprehensive development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to visualize end-to-end processes from initiation to delivery.
  • Experience with RPA and AI-driven enhancements or workflow redesign is a plus.

Operations Project Management & Transformation Support

Drive digital transformation and process improvement initiatives across the department to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and customer experience. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, and collaborate closely with IT and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement system enhancements and automation solutions. Coordinate and manage project activities with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards. Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through process simplification, automation, turnaround time reduction, risk mitigation, productivity enhancement, and man-hour savings. Monitor project progress, track milestones, identify potential risks and issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure project objectives are achieved. Develop, maintain, and update project documentation, including business requirement documents, process flows, standard operating procedures, user guides, and implementation plans. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), change management activities, and post-implementation reviews to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems. Prepare and deliver presentations, workshops, and training sessions on transformation initiatives, process improvement methodologies, and best practices. Generate management reports and project status updates, highlighting project achievements, risks, dependencies, and key performance indicators.

Operational Support & Business Continuity

Provide operational backup support for processing and administrative activities as required. Ensure continuity of operations during staff absences, manpower shortages, peak volume periods, system migrations, and project implementations. Collaborate with operational teams to identify process gaps, resolve operational issues, and implement sustainable solutions. Support the department in maintaining service standards, operational controls, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in ad-hoc projects, departmental initiatives, and continuous improvement activities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong analytical capability, understands operational pain points, and can visualize the entire process from initiation to customer delivery. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Proficient in MS Office, VBA, Power BI, Python, MS Access and project management tools will be an added advantage. Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI driven enhancement or workflow re‑design is an added advantage. Knowledge of SCRUM, Agile or other project management methodology will be advantageous. Strong project management skills; Adaptive and flexible in changing strategic contexts; Self‑driven & independent to lead / facilitate projects. Banking domain knowledge in Consumer Loans is preferred.

Side note: This role requires 100% work in office, based at Tampines.
