Job summary

HUB Distributors Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (Transport) to oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-efficient transport services across the network.

You will lead drivers, supervisors and customer service teams, develop SOPs, monitor KPIs, manage budgets, handle incidents, and liaise with customers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
• Minimum 5 years in transport or fleet operations leadership.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Proficient with fleet management systems and GPS tracking.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily fleet operations including scheduling and route optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore LTA regulations and MOM safety requirements.
• Lead drivers, supervisors, and customer service teams; manage recruitment and performance.
• Monitor fleet utilisation, fuel consumption and maintenance schedules for cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Liaise with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Track KPIs such as on-time delivery and vehicle downtime; prepare reports.
• Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Handle incident investigations and prompt resolution of issues.
• Ensure licensing, insurance, and renewal of vehicle permits/road tax per regulations.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager (Transport) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our transport and logistics fleet in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant transport operations while driving continuous improvement across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily fleet operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and route optimisation

• Ensure full compliance with LTA (Land Transport Authority) regulations, MOM workplace safety requirements, and other relevant statutory requirements

• Manage and lead a team of drivers, Customer Services, and Supervisors, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisal

• Monitor fleet utilisation, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules to optimise cost efficiency

• Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency, safety standards, and service quality

• Liaise with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery/service fulfilment

• Track KPIs (on-time delivery, vehicle downtime, incident rates, etc.) and prepare regular operational reports for management

• Manage budgets, control operational costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Handle incident investigations, accident reporting, and resolve operational issues promptly

• Ensure proper licensing, insurance, and renewal of vehicle permits/road tax in accordance with Singapore regulations

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport/fleet operations managerial role

• Strong leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and MS Office/Excel

• Class 3 driving licence preferred

• Able to work under pressure and manage operational issues outside regular working hours when required

• Good communication skills
