Job summary

Keppel Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to lead operations and maintenance of District Cooling System (DCS) plants and Retail Cooling Monitoring (RCM) sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in engineering roles.
• Experience in ACMV system design is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of ACMV and District Cooling Systems.
• Experience with EMS and monitoring systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Manage operations and support maintenance of District Cooling System (DCS) plants, Retail Cooling Monitoring (RCM) sites and other field works.
• Manage a team of plant engineers and technical specialists in analysing and optimising DCS and RCM operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot technical issues relating to DCS and RCM.
• Monitor equipment performance, recommend appropriate modifications and provide innovative ideas for improvement projects.
• Create and implement operations and maintenance procedures.
• Implement and execute the Permit to Work system, ensuring the Operations team verifies correct isolation/de-isolation before releasing permits.
• Review and analyse operations data, troubleshoot deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Optimise DCS and RCM operations to achieve maximum commercial benefits.
• Ensure the Operations team follows the operations schedule.
• Track closure of all alarms and defects during operation.
• Track expenses and oversee the operations budget.
• Submit operations reports.
• Maintain all operations documentation.
• Support all internal and external audits.
• Support all statutory information and data submissions.
• Ensure operations and maintenance activities comply with all EHS rules and regulations.
• Improve the company’s health, safety and environmental practices by taking responsible steps to protect the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues and other members of the community.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in the engineering and design of ACMV systems would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of the technical features of ACMV and District Cooling Systems.
• Practical experience in Energy Management Systems (EMS), with familiarity in local and remote control and monitoring systems, as well as instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of facilities, machines and equipment.
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities, with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good awareness of Environment, Health and Safety, with a strong safety mindset.
