Responsabilités

• Manage daily post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels and ensure charter party terms are carried out.
• Liaise with shipowners, charterers, brokers, port agents and stakeholders to keep operations efficient.
• Monitor vessel schedules, positions, loading and discharge operations with timely updates.
• Review shipping documentation including charter parties, NOR, SOF, and bills of lading.
• Handle laytime calculations and demurrage/despatch claims accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with charter party obligations and contractual terms.
• Maintain operational records and voyage reports; coordinate with internal teams for handover.
• Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

Salling Search is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager for a dry bulk shipbroking firm in Singapore. You would lead post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels and work closely with shipowners, charterers and brokers on every voyage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels and make sure charter party agreements are carried out smoothly
• Liaise with shipowners, charterers, brokers, port agents and other stakeholders to keep vessel operations efficient
• Monitor vessel schedules, positions and loading and discharging operations, and give relevant parties timely updates
• Review and manage shipping documentation, including charter parties, notices of readiness (NOR), statements of facts (SOF) and bills of lading
• Handle laytime calculations and demurrage and despatch claims, making sure they are accurate and settled on time
• Monitor charter party obligations and ensure compliance with the agreed contractual terms
• Resolve operational issues, disputes and claims that arise during voyages
• Maintain accurate operational records, voyage reports and documentation
• Coordinate with the internal shipbroking teams to ensure clear communication and smooth handover of fixtures
• Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Prior experience in dry bulk shipping operations, shipbroking, chartering or a related maritime field is preferred
• Good understanding of dry bulk shipping operations, charter party terms and shipping documentation
• Familiarity with laytime calculations and demurrage and despatch claims is an advantage
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
• Well organised, able to multitask and manage several shipments at the same time
• Detail-oriented and responsible, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• Good written and spoken English, as the role involves regular communication with international clients and stakeholders
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn
