Job summary

TENG HOE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Food Services Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our food service business in Singapore.

You will assist in company operations and inventory management, handle purchasing of vegetables, frozen foods, meats, groceries, packaging, and ensure items are received and stored properly. Qualifications

• Secondary, Diploma/Degree in Food & Beverage Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Relevant experience in food services, restaurant operations, catering or food production management.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety, operational procedures, inventory and cost control.
• Ability to manage multiple operations and lead a diverse team effectively.
• Strong business and financial understanding with the ability to analyse operational performance.
• Candidates with relevant Singapore food service management experience will be advantageous.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in food services, restaurant operations, catering, hospitality, or food production management.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

We are seeking an experienced Food Services Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our food service business.Assist in company operations and goods inventory management.Responsible for purchasing of vegetables, frozen foods, frozen chickens / meats / fishes, groceries, packaging etc.Ensure that quantity and quality of items ordered are received and stored in proper condition.The role is responsible for ensuring smooth business operations, maintaining food quality and service standards, managing operational costs, leading staff, and supporting business growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operations Management : Oversee daily operations of food outlets, catering services, kitchen and food production activities.Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency, productivity and service quality.Ensure outlets and food production areas operate according to company policies and required standards.Monitor operational performance and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Staff & Team Management : Plan manpower requirements and coordinate staff deployment according to business needs.Lead, train and supervise kitchen, service and operations teams.Establish work procedures, performance standards and staff responsibilities.Conduct staff performance reviews and recommend training or development where required.
• Food Quality & Safety : Ensure food preparation, handling, storage and service comply with applicable food safety and hygiene requirements.Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation and consistency.Work closely with kitchen teams to maintain recipes, production standards and quality control procedures.Investigate and address customer complaints relating to food quality and service.
• Cost & Inventory Management : Monitor food costs, labour costs, wastage and overall operating expenses.Develop measures to control food wastage and improve cost efficiency.Oversee purchasing, stock control and inventory management.Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and service standards.
• Business & Financial Management : Monitor sales, operating performance and profitability of food service operations.Prepare and review operational reports, budgets and performance analysis.Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve productivity and reduce operating costs.Support management in developing business strategies and expansion plans.
• Customer Service : Ensure high standards of customer service across all food service operations.Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements where necessary.Develop service standards and procedures to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure operations comply with relevant Singapore regulations, licensing requirements, workplace safety and food hygiene standards.Maintain proper operational records, licences, inspection documents and internal procedures.Identify operational risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Business Development : Support the development of new menus, food concepts, catering packages and service offerings.Analyse market trends and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.Work with management on marketing, promotional activities and business expansion initiatives.
• Reporting & Management Support : Prepare regular reports on sales, staffing, inventory, costs, customer feedback and operational performance.Provide recommendations to senior management on operational improvements and business strategies.Coordinate with suppliers, customers, contractors and other business partners when required.
