Job summary

SH COGENT LOGISTICS PTE LTD is seeking a Warehouse Operations role in Singapore to lead a team, ensure safe and efficient warehouse processes, and monitor KPIs. The candidate will maintain safety standards, implement controls, and liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure timely receipt and issuance of cargoes.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in Logistics or Supply Chain, with 3 years’ experience in a 3PL warehouse, and proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• Those without Diploma or degree but with relevant track record can be considered.
• Preferably 3 years in third-party logistics warehouse.
• Competent in using Warehouse Management System.
• Able to work under stress in fast-paced environment.
• Able to lead a team of Warehouse Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Set up clear contact matrix and daily communication channels with internal and external parties.
• Devise and implement controls to ensure zero errors in receiving and releasing cargoes.
• Ensure warehouse operations run efficiently to meet timelines, KPIs and budget control.
• Ensure safety compliance and optimize material handling equipment performance.
• Attend to customer inquiries and keep customers informed of goods received and issued.
• Attend KPI meetings and present KPI scorecards to customers.
• Operate MHE to assist operations when necessary.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and drive internal compliance.
• Investigate incidents and prepare investigation reports.
• Identify safety hazards and eliminate risks.
• Ensure staff work safely in a safe workplace and integrate safety into daily work.
• Ensure compliance with safety and warehouse SOPs per company procedures, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Adhere to all company rules including safety rules.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Job description

1. Responsible to set clear contact matrix and daily communication channels for internal vs external parties

2. Responsible to devise and implement control measures to ensure zero errors in receiving and releasing cargoes

3. Responsible to ensure warehouse operations run efficiently to meet timeline, KPI and budget control

4. Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of the material handling equipment and safety compliance

5. Attend to customers’ enquires and requests and keep customers fully informed of the goods received and goods issued

6. Attend customer KPI meetings and present KPI scorecards to customers

7. Operate MHE to assist operations when necessary

8. Conduct toolbox meeting and drive internal compliance exercise

9. Investigate incidents and accidents and prepare investigation report for submission

10. Identify safety hazards in operations areas and proactively eliminate any risks

11. Ensure staff work safely in a safe workplace

12. Integrate safety into daily work activities

13. Ensure compliance with safety & warehouse SOP according to company’s safety procedures, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements

14. Adhere to all company rules and regulations including safety rules

15. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements

1. Diploma or degree holders in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.

2. Those without Diploma or degree but with relevant and good career track record can be considered

3. Preferably with 3 years’ relevant experience in third party logistics warehouse

4. Competent in using Warehouse Management System

5. Able to work under stress in a fast-paced environment

6. Able to lead a team of Warehouse Assistant
