Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a strategic leader to oversee warehouse operations in a free trade zone. You will manage site operations, strengthen customer relationships and drive account performance.

You will enforce process compliance, own the P&L for the program, define operational requirements and drive adoption of new technologies to boost overall performance and service levels. This is a growth-focused role in a global logistics group.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and directions to manage various warehouse operations in free trade zone.
• Managing site operations, strengthen customer relationships and drive account performance.
• Enforce process compliance and ensure operations meet and achieve customer’s expectation and KPIs.
• Accountable for the P&L performance for the responsible programs in scope.
• Define requirements for operation and ensures the implementation of new strategies, technologies and initiatives to drive overall performance.
• Continuously engage customers on commercial, operational scope of work and contract renewals.
• Enforce security and work safety measures and controls in the warehouse.
• Monitor department budgetary control and allocation of resources to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
• Constantly look for improvement opportunities along the value chain, to streamline and re-engineer the processes to achieve and exceed the service standard or target.
• Establish and cultivate a good team culture of best practice sharing within the program to motivate staffs to voice out their opinions.
• Plan and provide on-the-job training to individual staff to improve work performance and productivity.
• Ensure stock inventory accuracy and records are kept up to date.
• Ensure storage and office areas are well maintained.
