Job summary

VAST Data is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to deliver a pristine first experience with our AI-ready data platform. You will perform onsite hardware rack work, cabling, and software installation, plus cluster relocations and expansions across the install base.

You will be the technical lead for field activities, ensuring issues are resolved calmly and efficiently, and you will contribute to training and runbooks for partners and Customer Support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar technical role with data storage focus (SAN/NAS/DAS/Cloud).
• 2+ years Linux CLI experience.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization (VMware/Docker).
• Networking knowledge including switch configuration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot the VAST Data solution in customer environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams for product input and process improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends relevant to AI and storage.
• Stay current with latest VAST software releases.
