Job summary

KLA is seeking an NPI engineer to join the Singapore production site, acting as the on-site engineering representative to ensure fast, high-quality transitions of new products from development to manufacturing.

You will bridge HW engineering teams with local manufacturing, ensuring production readiness, manage BOMs, ECOs, and support prototype builds while collaborating with MDE, supply chain and service teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or transfer to production.
• Strong understanding of BOM management, product configuration, and documentation control.
• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Enovia – Advantage).
• Experience working with CAD modeling tools (e.g., Creo).
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Be able to travel to Israel, UK & US to work with designers and Israel NPI team regularly.

Responsibilities

• NPI engineer in production site; serve as the engineering representative on-site, ensuring fast, high-quality transition of new products from development to manufacturing.
• Bridge between HW engineering teams located outside Singapore and manufacturing operations (Singapore) by enabling rapid decision making and shortening feedback loops of NPI and sustaining activities.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE), Supply chain and operations teams to ensure production readiness to ramp.
• Ensure readiness of BOMs, procedures, tools and documentation for production release.
• Provide hands-on support during prototype builds and FAI.
• Collaborate with MDE to define, validate and improve production processes.
• Document production processes on site while taking part in actual builds.
• Drive ECO management and follow up on ECO implementation on the production line.
• Participate in design for DfX: Service, Production and Operation.
• Provide training to the manufacturing engineer.
