Job summary

RED HORN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks a network engineer to design, deploy, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure for building projects in Singapore.

You will troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with customers and teams to deliver high-quality connectivity solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, access points, VPNs, and VLANs, plus knowledge of major vendor gear.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on networking experience with enterprise networks (1+ year).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, wireless & VPN.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test and commission wired and wireless network infrastructure per client needs.
• Deploy and support enterprise WiFi systems, routers, switches and firewalls for optimal performance.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, TCP/IP networks for reliable connectivity.

Job Summary

You will design, deploy, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure, troubleshoot network issues, and collaborate with customers and teams to deliver high-quality connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test, and commission wired and wireless network infrastructure to meet client requirements
• Deploy, configure, and support enterprise WiFi systems, routers, switches, and firewalls for optimal network performance
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and TCP/IP networks to ensure reliable connectivity
• Conduct network assessments, site surveys, and WiFi coverage optimisation to enhance network efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, configuration, and hardware issues promptly
• Configure and maintain network equipment from vendors including TP-Link Omada, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, and other enterprise platforms
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and service reports to support project delivery and maintenance
• Collaborate closely with customers, project teams, and vendors to ensure successful network monitoring implementation
• Provide preventive maintenance and technical support for deployed network systems to minimise downtime
• Ensure all network installations comply with company standards and industry best practices

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field
• At least 1 years of hands-on networking experience configuring and managing enterprise networks
• Strong knowledge and practical skills in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching, DHCP, DNS, wireless networking, and VPN technologies
• Mobile App knowledge
• Hands-on experience configuring enterprise routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex network issues in diverse environments
• Team player

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with TP-Link Omada, Ubiquiti UniFi, MikroTik, Cisco, Fortinet, or Aruba network equipment
• Skills in enterprise WiFi design and optimisation to improve network coverage and performance
• Knowledge of network security and firewall configuration to safeguard network infrastructure
• Basic Linux or Windows Server administration experience to support network services

Other Information

• Location: Singapore
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30-5.30 PM
• Salary: SGD 3,500–4,000 per month, commensurate with experience
