Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Network Engineer in Singapore to design, deploy, and manage complex LAN/WAN environments. You will install routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and ensure high availability while enforcing security policies and monitoring performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience, with hands-on experience on Cisco/Juniper/Arista devices and familiarity with cloud networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in computer science, information technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.

• Enforce network security policies including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

• Install and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network availability and reliability.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
• Document network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Provide support for network-related incidents and service requests.
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Hands‑on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
• Experience with network security tools and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems is a plus.
• Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA are preferred.
