Job summary

ACCLIVIS TECHNOLOGIES AND SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced network engineer to oversee and maintain IP networking, cloud platforms, and data centre infrastructure in Singapore.

You will monitor health, performance, and SLA compliance while handling provisioning, configuration, and incident response. The role requires 3–5 years in enterprise or data centre environments, strong TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security knowledge, and willingness to perform after-hours support.

Job description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1. Oversee, operate, and maintain the company's IP network services, including Internet connectivity, cloud hosting platforms, managed network services, and data centre infrastructure.
• 2. Monitor the health, availability, capacity, and performance of the network infrastructure to ensure service reliability and SLA compliance.
• 3. Perform network provisioning, configuration, installation, migration, and decommissioning activities for infrastructure and customer services.
• 4. Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, patching, backup, and lifecycle management of network equipment.
• 5. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for escalated incidents, problems, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution within SLA.
• 6. Troubleshoot complex network, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, wireless, and connectivity issues by working with vendors, carriers, cloud providers, and service partners.
• 7. Participate in customer project implementation, service provisioning, and maintenance activities, including onsite support when required.
• 8. Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, IP addressing plans, asset inventory, configuration records, SOPs, and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.
• 9. Participate in change management by preparing implementation plans, risk assessments, rollback procedures, testing, and post-implementation validation.
• 10. Monitor security advisories, identify infrastructure vulnerabilities, and implement approved remediation, firmware updates, and configuration hardening.
• 11. Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Systems, Service Delivery, and NOC teams to support crossfunctional projects and operational requirements.
• 12. Support root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and continuous service improvement initiatives following major incidents.
• 13. Support the Network Manager in implementing network standards, operational policies, capacity planning, technology refresh, and service improvements.
• 14. Participate in after-office-hours standby, maintenance windows, and emergency support when required.

Job Requirements: (e.g., educational/ professional qualifications)

Education and Professional Requirements

• 1. Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise, ISP, data centre, or managed network environments.
• 3. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
• 4. Hands-on experience with enterprise networking and security technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and load balancers.
• 5. Experience with network monitoring, logging, and management platforms.
• 6. Familiarity with cloud networking technologies and virtualized infrastructure is an advantage.
• 7. Experience with network implementation, migration, maintenance, and change management processes.
• 8. Good understanding of network security principles, cybersecurity best practices, and infrastructure hardening.
• 9. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• 10. Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• 11. Willing to perform after-office-hours support, standby duties, and occasional onsite work when required.

Preferred Professional Certifications

• 1. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP), Huawei Certified ICT Professional (HCIP), or equivalent vendor certifications are highly desirable.
• 2. ITIL Foundation certification is an added advantage.
