Qualifications

• Experience planning and migrating network switches, including validation and rollback.
• Ability to coordinate with security, server, application, and operations teams.
• Strong documentation and monitoring integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and review network architecture, migration requirements, and dependencies.
• Upgrade firmware/OS to approved versions and configure accordingly.
• Implement security hardening per company standards and disable unused ports/services.
• Set up monitoring/alerting for SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, and capacity metrics.
• Perform pre-migration validation, backups, and coordinated migrations to minimize downtime.
• Conduct testing and validation of connectivity and migration results.
• Create and update network diagrams, configurations, port mappings, IP addressing, and security documentation.
• Provide post-migration support and knowledge transfer, and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
