Job summary

TEKISHUB CONSULTING SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead a critical switch migration project. You will plan, configure, harden security, test, and support network switching infrastructure within a large enterprise environment.

The role requires hands-on migration experience, strong knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure, and the ability to coordinate across security, application and operations teams. On-site work in Singapore is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in network engineering or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in network switch migration and implementation.
• Experience with enterprise network infrastructure and switch configuration.
• Experience in network security hardening and security compliance requirements.
• Experience with network monitoring and alerting technologies including SNMP, Syslog and NetFlow/sFlow.

Responsibilities

• Review network architecture, design documentation and migration requirements.
• Validate switch hardware, software/firmware versions, licensing and compatibility.
• Develop detailed implementation, migration, testing and rollback plans.
• Identify technical dependencies, migration risks and outage requirements.
• Coordinate migration activities with security, server, application and operations teams.
• Build and configure enterprise network switches according to approved designs and standards.
• Upgrade switch firmware and operating systems to approved versions.
• Review and validate existing network configurations before migration.
• Perform configuration backups and maintain rollback procedures.
• Implement network security hardening in accordance with standards.
• Disable unused ports, protocols and services where applicable.
• Review switch configurations for security vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.
• Ensure configurations comply with internal security, governance and audit standards.
• Integrate network switches with enterprise monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Configure and validate SNMP monitoring, Syslog forwarding and NetFlow/sFlow.
• Configure performance, capacity and interface utilisation monitoring.
• Ensure environmental monitoring for temperature, power supply and fan status.
• Configure operational alerts and validate monitoring data reception.
• Conduct pre-migration validation and network health checks.
• Execute switch migrations according to approved plans.
• Coordinate migration activities with relevant teams.
• Minimise network downtime and business impact.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related network issues.
• Perform post-migration connectivity and functionality testing.
• Validate network services, interfaces and configurations following migration.
• Investigate and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Ensure successful completion of migration acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and port mappings.
• Prepare implementation, testing and rollback procedures.
• Produce migration reports including validation results and stakeholder sign-off.
• Provide post-implementation monitoring and technical support.
• Review network logs, alerts and performance for abnormalities.
• Optimise configurations where required.
• Conduct knowledge transfer to operations teams.
• Obtain stakeholder sign-off following successful migration.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a network switch migration project within a large-scale enterprise environment in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, configuration, security hardening, migration, testing and post-implementation support of network switching infrastructure.

This role requires strong hands-on experience in network switch migration, network infrastructure configuration and network security hardening , with the ability to coordinate effectively with infrastructure, security, application and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Network Migration Planning & Design

• Review network architecture, design documentation and migration requirements.
• Validate switch hardware, software/firmware versions, licensing and compatibility.
• Develop detailed implementation, migration, testing and rollback plans.
• Identify technical dependencies, migration risks and outage requirements.
• Coordinate migration activities with security, server, application and operations teams.

Switch Configuration & Implementation

• Build and configure enterprise network switches according to approved designs and standards.

Migration Execution

• Conduct pre-migration validation and network health checks.

• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related network issues.

Testing & Validation

• Perform post-migration connectivity and functionality testing.

Documentation & Release Readiness

• Create and maintain network diagrams, switch configuration records and port mappings.
• Maintain IP addressing, security configuration and monitoring documentation.
• Prepare implementation, testing and rollback procedures.
• Prepare required documentation for release readiness and implementation approval.
• Produce migration reports including validation results and stakeholder sign-off.

Post-Migration Support

• Provide post-implementation monitoring and technical support.
• Review network logs, alerts and performance for abnormalities.
• Optimise configurations where required.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and handover to operations teams.
