Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Network Engineer to design, implement and oversee enterprise network systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes strong Cisco/Alcatel experience, security best practices, and leadership of a network engineering team.

Applicants should demonstrate hands-on expertise with routing/switching, TCP/IP, and ITSM/ITIL processes, while contributing to long-term global network strategy and vendor partnerships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience configuring routers/switches (Cisco and Alcatel).
• Cisco CCNE certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Proven experience leading a team of network engineers.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture.
• Experience with network security fundamentals and best practices.
• Proficiency with network diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level.
• Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
• Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability
• Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
• Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
• Able to lead a team of network engineers (size).
• Evaluates internal & external business environment to develop long-term strategy for the unit/organization
• Applies business & financial knowledge to address business issues & drive the business.
• Establishes & promotes effective business operations across multiple countries &/or regions & coordinates appropriately with the broader global business
• Attain key certifications for partnership with key vendors
