Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure for projects in Singapore. You will work with Cisco routers and switches, wireless solutions, and manage LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on experience, strong routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP), firewall platforms (Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firepower), and hybrid cloud networking across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in network engineering or infra support.
• Hands-on Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switching.
• Strong routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
• Experience with MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN.
• Knowledge of network security, wireless networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, QoS.
• Hands-on with enterprise firewall platforms Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firepower.
• Hybrid cloud networking across AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
• Certs preferred: CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless network solutions.
• Support and maintain LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
• Manage and support network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and NAC.
• Monitor network performance, capacity planning, and optimization.
• Ensure high-availability environments with BC/DR requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents with RCA and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, SOPs, configs, and reports.
• Participate in deployments, migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh projects.
• Provide L2/L3 network support and on-call after-hours when required.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and operational standards.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Responsibility

• Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure across projects and day-to-day operations.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless network solutions.
• Support and maintain LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity services.
• Manage and support network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control solutions.
• Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and perform optimization and performance tuning.
• Support high-availability network environments, including business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex network incidents, including conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
• Work closely with internal teams, technology vendors, and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
• Create and maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, configuration records, and technical reports.
• Participate in network deployment, migration, upgrade, and technology refresh projects.
• Provide L2/L3 network support and participate in on-call or after-hours support when required.
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with established security policies, governance requirements, and operational standards.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirement

• 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network administration, implementation, or infrastructure support.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms.
• Solid understanding of enterprise routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Experience with MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Good knowledge of network security, wireless networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and QoS.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco Firepower.
• Experience with hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud will be an advantage.
• Network certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA are preferred.
