Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a network professional to join a dynamic team focused on delivering robust network solutions in Singapore. The role offers hands-on experience with VLANs, routing, and firewall configurations across diverse hardware platforms.

You will update firewall rules on Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point, troubleshoot IPsec tunnels and client VPNs, and monitor networks with SNMP/Syslog to prevent business impact. 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Networks & Systems required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• CCNA certification mandatory; Fortinet NSE3/4 or Palo Alto PCCET/PCNSA is a plus.
• Strong Cisco CLI (IOS) and modern firewall web GUIs.
• Knowledge of VLANs, STP/LACP, inter-VLAN routing, NAT/PAT, and basic routing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure VLANs, routing, and LACP across platforms.
• Update firewall rules on Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point.
• Build and troubleshoot Site-to-Site IPsec tunnels and client VPNs.
• Use SNMP/Syslog to monitor and preempt issues.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and configure VLANs, Static/Dynamic Routing, and Link Aggregation across various hardware platforms.
• Update and audit firewall rules on systems such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Checkpoint to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Build and troubleshoot Site-to-Site IPsec tunnels and Client VPNs.
• Utilize monitoring tools (SNMP/Syslog) to proactively identify network issues and prevent business impact.
• Ensure interoperability between different vendors' hardware to maintain seamless network traffic flow.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Networks & Systems.
• 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
• Familiarity with Cisco CLI (IOS) and proficiency in Web GUIs for modern firewalls.
• Understanding and configuration skills in:
  • Layer 2: STP, VTP (or manual VLAN propagation), LACP.
  • Layer 3: Inter-VLAN routing (Router-on-a-stick), basic OSPF/EIGRP.
  • Security: NAT/PAT, Security Zones, and Object-based rules.
• CCNA certification is mandatory; Fortinet NSE 3/4 or Palo Alto PCCET/PCNSA is a plus.
