Job summary

SAKSOFT PTE LIMITED is seeking a Network Engineer in Singapore with 3–5 years of experience to install, configure and support enterprise networks. The role focuses on Cisco routers and switches, firewalls from Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, and F5 technologies, plus WAN and SDN-related capabilities.

The candidate will participate in day-to-day network operations, site assessments, and supervision of installations in financial institutions, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant networking experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and F5 network devices and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure network equipment, firewalls & appliances in Enterprise, Extranet and eCommerce networks.
• Assist the team in day-to-day operations in network-related fields.
• Conduct site assessments and supervise installation in financial institutions with Bank connectivity.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment.
• Configure and troubleshoot F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls.

Key Skills:

• Cisco routers and switches (Nexus and Catalyst)

• F5 LTM, GTM, and WAF

Responsibilities:

• Network equipment, firewalls & appliances installation in Enterprise, Extranet and eCommerce network.
• Assist the team in day-to-day operations in network-related fields.
• Site assessment, coordination and supervision of installation in financial institutions that have network connectivity with the Bank.
• Cisco network equipment configuration and troubleshooting.
• F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point firewalls configuration and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

Education :

• Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 4 years' relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.

Essential :

Strong technical analytical and engineering competencies with hands-on experience in managing routers, switches and firewalls, Identity related technologies and WAN Transport. Up-to-date hands-on experience on technology products and platforms from Cisco, including Wireless, DNAC and APIC/ACI, Prime Infra, and Fortinet, Checkpoint and Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T and F5.

Familiar with WAN routing protocols, QoS, CoS and experienced with Telco's business and operations, micro-segmentation, Content Delivery Network, 3-layered hierarchical and spine-leaf architecture and cloud networking.

Working experience on emerging technologies such as SASE, Software defined Network, WAN and Access desired.

A good team player with a strong sense of ownership, self-motivated and able to work with little supervision and collaborate with peers to fulfil network deliverables.

Meticulous, energetic, resourceful and inspirational. Possess strong written, documentation and effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Thought leadership and influential skills to be able direct and build a higher performance team, steer and manage goals and deliverables.

Working experience on scripting and network automation will be a bonus.

Familiar with IT ticketing tool such as Remedy ISM and network management tools.
