Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Tool Development Engineer focused on designing and enabling engineering testers and data‑driven workflows for semiconductor test platforms.

You will bring‑up testers, debug, characterize, and integrate lab instrumentation to support failure analysis and cross‑functional collaboration with PE, Validation, and Platform teams. The role emphasizes building hardware/software tester frameworks, AI‑assisted development, and robust debugging capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in semiconductor test engineering, product engineering, validation, or tool development.
• Experience with tester bring‑up, debugging, and characterization.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and debugging.
• Strong data interpretation and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design device‑specific hardware solutions and tester frameworks for characterization, debug, and validation.
• Develop engineering tools, debug features, and workflows to improve tester usability and observability.
• Apply AI‑enabled approaches to accelerate tester program development and bring‑up.
• Provide hands‑on leadership for tester bring‑up, issue triage, and failure analysis.
• Integrate lab instrumentation with testers to support detailed characterization and debugging.
• Collaborate with global teams to align tester capabilities with roadmaps.
