Job summary

Varel Singapore is seeking an F&B Supervisor to manage three outlets—Saga Bar, Vernacular Coffee, and Hathaway—ensuring smooth service, quality, and guest satisfaction. You will lead the F&B team, assist with manpower planning, and collaborate with culinary teams to maintain high standards across all venues.

The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication, and a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as F&B Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Experience across multiple F&B concepts is preferred.
• Knowledge of restaurant, bar, hospitality operations.
• Understanding of cost control, inventory, manpower planning.
• Strong leadership and people management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Guest-focused with a passion for hospitality.
• Hands-on, organized, and calm under pressure.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Saga Bar, Vernacular Coffee, and Hathaway.
• Lead and support the F&B team during shifts with coaching and direction.
• Assist with manpower planning, staff deployment, scheduling, and coverage.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure teams are prepared.
• Ensure outlets meet standards for food and beverage quality, service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor service flow and address issues during shifts.
• Assist F&B Manager in monitoring outlet performance, revenue, and targets.
• Assist with food, beverage, labour, and operating cost control.
• Support inventory management, stock replenishment, and stock control procedures.
• Collaborate with culinary team to maintain menu items, recipes, portions, and presentation.
