Job summary

KOPI RECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an IT Infrastructure Engineer to implement, operate and maintain enterprise infrastructure aligning with government policies, standards and procedures. Role covers on‑premises and cloud environments with emphasis on availability, security and resilience.

The candidate should have 3–5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure operations and a degree in IT/CS, with strong networking, security and scripting skills. Singapore‑based role requiring on-site work.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, CS, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of IT infrastructure operations or related delivery experience.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, networking and security.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, switches and wireless networking.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, patch management, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation practices.
• Experience in incident management, problem resolution, system maintenance, change management, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions meeting availability, capacity and security needs.
• Work with internal teams, vendors and service providers to design, implement and transition infrastructure solutions into production operations.
• Support rollout of new infrastructure platforms and technology refresh initiatives across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, maintenance and support of IT infrastructure services for high availability and performance.
• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate timely resolutions per SLAs.
• Manage firmware upgrades, security patching and lifecycle maintenance activities for infrastructure components.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with Government ICT policies, IM8 requirements, cybersecurity standards and IT governance frameworks.
• Support vulnerability remediation, security hardening, audits and risk management initiatives.
• Manage vendor performance, maintenance contracts and service delivery to meet obligations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, deployment guides and incident response procedures.
• Identify and implement automation and process improvements to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare operational reports and project updates for stakeholders and senior management.
• Perform other duties to support operational and organisational objectives.

Requirements

1. Role Overview

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the implementation, operation and maintenance of application infrastructure services that meet application requirements and business needs, and is aligned to Government’s policies, standards and procedures.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

• a) Engage stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into scalable and secure infrastructure solutions that meet availability, capacity, resiliency, security and business continuity requirements.
• b) Work with internal teams, vendors and service providers to design, implement, configure and transition infrastructure solutions and services into production operations.
• c) Support the rollout of new infrastructure platforms, technology refresh initiatives and infrastructure-related projects across on-premises and cloud environments
• d) Manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance and support of IT infrastructure services to ensure high availability, optimal performance and minimal service disruption.
• e) Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate timely resolution of technical issues in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• f) Manage firmware upgrades, security patching and lifecycle maintenance activities for infrastructure components, ensuring service continuity and minimising operational risks.
• g) Ensure infrastructure solutions and operations comply with prevailing Government ICT policies, IM8 requirements, cybersecurity standards, and Agency IT governance frameworks.
• h) Support vulnerability remediation, security hardening, audit activities and risk management initiatives to maintain a secure and resilient infrastructure environment.
• i) Manage vendor performance, maintenance contracts and service delivery to ensure contract obligations and operational requirements are met.
• j) Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), deployment guides, support runbooks and incident response procedures.
• k) Identify and implement automation, optimisation and process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, service quality and system reliability.
• l) Prepare operational reports, project updates and management presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
• m) Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational and organisational objectives.

3. Requirements

• a) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• b) At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure operations, systems administration, network administration, or infrastructure project delivery.
• c) Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, networking, and security solutions.
• d) Experience supporting and maintaining infrastructure environments across on-premises data centres and cloud platforms.
• e) Familiarity with enterprise networking technologies such as firewalls, load balancers, switches, wireless networking, and VPN solutions.
• f) Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, infrastructure hardening, patch management, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation practices.
• g) Experience in incident management, problem resolution, system maintenance, change management, and production support.
• h) Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or equivalent) to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
• i) Familiarity with IT governance, security standards, and compliance requirements such as IM8 and Government ICT policies will be an advantage.
• j) Experience working with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to deliver infrastructure projects and operational services.
• k) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• l) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
