Job summary

TikTok is seeking passionate mobile software engineers to join our Messaging team in Singapore. You will own client-side (Android & iOS) development of TikTok Messaging, building core chat experiences and real-time communications to deliver a smooth user experience.

You will optimize performance, packaging, and resource usage while exploring AI-powered tooling to boost engineering efficiency. The role requires strong fundamentals and hands-on mobile development in Kotlin/Java or Swift/Obj-C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong learning and communication skills with a sustained passion for technology.
• Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases.
• Proficient in AI coding tools and mobile development stacks (iOS/Android).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for client-side (Android & iOS) development and iteration of TikTok Messaging, including chatroom, stickers, and Streak features.
• Develop and optimize real-time Voice & Video Call capabilities and on-device messaging infrastructure.
• Explore AI-powered engineering efficiency and create AI agents to assist daily workflows.
• Continuously optimize performance, stability, and resource usage for a smooth user experience.
