Job summary

EDZ INTERIOR CONTRACTS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Production Manager to plan daily work schedules, monitor production output, and ensure timely project delivery. You will lead mechanical fabrication teams and coordinate across cutting, drilling, welding, grinding, fitting and assembly.

The role demands strong team leadership, strict safety practices, budget awareness, and rigorous quality control, plus cross‑department collaboration with PMs, site teams and engineering to meet project targets

Job description

Production Management: Plan daily work schedules and monitor production output to ensure timely project delivery.

Workflow Coordination: Assign tasks and manage the flow between cutting, drilling, welding, grinding, fitting, and assembly teams.

Quality Control: Inspect finished components and enforce measures to minimize defects, rework, and material wastage.

Safety Enforcement: Maintain workplace safety and health regulations, conduct safety checks, and keep the shop floor organized.

Team Leadership: Supervise workers, manage attendance and performance, provide training, and resolve on-site issues.

Cross-Department Communication: Liaise with project managers, site teams, and engineering departments regarding progress and technical specs.

responsible for the overall in-charge, coordination, monitoring, execution, control and completion of all the production ensuring consistency quality in-line with company strategy, commitments and goals.

responsible to plan production activities, worker schedules, machine maintenance and maintains production budgetry costs and product quality.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

1. lead and manage all the mechanical, metal fabrication
2. plans production meetings, production activities, production schedule, workers schedule, machine maintenance schedules and maintains workers' quarters and improve product quality.
3. ensure safety standards are being maintained and all workers are abiding to work-place safety rules. To ensure proper housekeeping are implemented within factory compound accordingly to OHSAS/ISO standards and requirements.
4. ensure new policies and programmes are being followed and provide guidance/ training to meet better requirements demanded by management.
5. collaborate with project team(PM, other supervisors) for successful production targets and goals.
6. establish and manage production budget based on project basis, provide value engineering to work scope and materials.
7. manage and resolve design and technical issues with PM/supervisors/coordinators.
8. work closely with purchaser to ensure timely delivery of materials for production needs. Responsible to check and approve all materials requisition.
9. organise tool box meeting for all workers.
10. provide direction and support to carpenters/sub-contractors.
11. quality management. Supervising quality standards and enforcing quality-control programmes.
12. constantly monitor and report on progress of the factory activities to management.
13. present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions(submit weekly factory production report to management)
14. project evaluations and assessment of results
15. ensures all productions are complete and deliver as per project schedule requirements.
16. submit production costing for each project no later than 7 days upon receive construction drawings.
17. assignment of worker/sub-contractors for each project.
18. attend company's weekly and fortnightly meetings
19. sourcing of potential skill carpenters/sub-contractors as and when require by the management.
20. to approve sub-contractors' claim and payments.
21. review the overall performance and identifying training necessities of production personnel.
