Job summary

ByteDance in Singapore is seeking a Merchant Financing Business Manager to design, launch, and grow financing products that support merchants across the platform. You will work at the intersection of product, risk, data, operations, and business teams to deliver tailored credit solutions.

This role is based onsite at our Singapore office with a five-day in-person work arrangement. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in lending, e-commerce, banking, or credit risk, with strong data-driven decision

Qualifications

• Bachelor0s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in lending, e-commerce, banking, or credit riskespecially SME or merchant financing.
• Solid understanding of credit product mechanics, risk management, and financial modeling.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced, agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up business roadmap and targets 00 Merchant Financing strategy, GTM plan, and rollout roadmap across SEA markets; establish business goals for penetration, disbursement, and user acquisition, etc.
• Drive business rollout and cross-team collaboration 00 Execute launch plans, manage operations, and build strong partnerships with e-commerce, seller, and operations teams to ensure target achievement.
• Build and maintain data framework 00 Develop analytical models to track funnel performance, market penetration, user acquisition, and campaign effectiveness (interest-free campaigns, white-list expansion, loyalty tiers, etc.) and provide dynamic market strategy to ensure the business target achievement.
• Work with cross-functional teams for product enhancement 00 Collaborate with Product, Tech, Risk, and Compliance teams to optimize product features, credit policies, and regulatory alignment for each market.
• Improve merchant experience and scalability 00 Continuously refine the merchant journey, enhance user experience, and drive user adoption through education, operations, and platform campaign.

We are looking for a highly professional, self-driven, and data-driven Merchant Financing Business Manager to design, launch, and grow financing products that support the growth of merchants across our platform.

You will work at the intersection of product, risk, data, operations, and business teams to deliver tailored credit solutions, such as Cash Advance, SME Loans, etc. Your goal is to enhance merchant's business liquidity, drive user adoption, and ensure sustainable portfolio performance.

• Set up business roadmap and targets – Responsible for Merchant Financing strategy, GTM plan, and rollout roadmap across SEA markets; establish business goals for penetration, disbursement, and user acquisition, etc.
• Drive business rollout and cross-team collaboration – Execute launch plans, manage operations, and build strong partnerships with e-commerce, seller, and operations teams to ensure target achievement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in lending, e-commerce, banking, or credit risk—especially in SME or merchant financing.
• Solid understanding of credit product mechanics, risk management, and financial modeling.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced, agile environments.

Preferred Qualification(s)

• 3 years and above relevant experience in merchant financing space.
• Knowledge of SEA or LATAM regulatory landscapes.
