Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a skilled frontend engineer to join the Global Payment Web and Client team in Singapore. You will build global consumer digital wallets and payment products, participate in system design, and collaborate across product design, management and engineering to deliver efficient, secure cross-platform web experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing frontend web applications.
• Strong frontend experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS, skilled in common web platforms such as React/Vue/Angular, and have good practice and understanding of common web compilation and bundling frameworks, including Webpack/Rollup/Babel/AST.
• Have solid experience in implementing web applications with high performance, high availability, and excellent user experience.
• Good problem solving skills and thinking patterns in web-based system design.

About Global Payment

The Global Payment team provides payment solutions including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms.

Our Web and Client team in Global Payment is committed to building a highly integrated payment product that can be easily connected to the Web, App, cross-platform and other forms of Global Payment capabilities. In addition, we provide efficient and comprehensive services to developers, merchants and others through a series of platforms.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)

• Experience in developing frontend web applications
• Strong frontend experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS, skilled in common web platforms such as React/Vue/Angular, and have good practice and understanding of common web compilation and bundling frameworks, including Webpack/Rollup/Babel/AST;
• Have solid experience in implementing web applications with high performance, high availability, and excellent user experience;
• Good problem solving skills and thinking patterns in web-based system design.

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business.
• Experience in e-wallet and payment product development;
• Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver;
• Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast pace, diversified and global team environment.
