Job summary

CHINA RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION GROUP CORPORATION LIMITED SINGAPORE BRANCH is seeking a skilled MEP Drafter/Engineer to support the MEP Manager on the Golden Mile project. The role blends heavy AutoCAD drafting with BIM modeling and on-site MEP coordination to prevent clashes and ensure timely technical submissions.

You will produce accurate shop drawings for MEP, ACMV, plumbing and sanitation, maintain up-to-date as-built records, and assist in local authority submissions to meet project milestones

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in M&E Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Singapore construction sites (MEP coordination and drafting).
• Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is a strong advantage.
• Familiar with local MEP codes, Singapore Standards (SS), and authority submission processes.
• Able to work independently, detail-oriented (for drafting), and possess good communication skills for site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, BIM & Technical Documentation (Core Focus): Produce high-quality 2D detail drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for MEP, ACMV, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
• BIM Modeling: Create and update 3D AutoCAD / Revit models for MEP services to ensure spatial coordination.
• Technical Drawings: Update SLDs and equipment layouts based on site changes.
• As-Built Updates: Maintain accurate drawing records post-installation to support Testing & Commissioning and final handover.
• Site Coordination & Clash Detection: Conduct regular site walks to verify MEP installations align with approved drawings, resolve clashes, and liaise with subcontractors.
• Authority Submissions & Compliance: Prepare technical documentation for local authority submissions (PUB, BCA, SCDF, WSH).
• Project & Client Support: Prepare technical presentations or reports and track material requirements and equipment deliveries.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly proficient MEP Drafter/Engineer to support the MEP Manager in the execution of the Golden Mile project. This role is split between heavy AutoCAD drafting/BIM modeling and on-site MEP coordination. You will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings, coordinating services to prevent site clashes, and assisting in technical submissions to ensure project milestones (including Phased TOP) are met.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting, BIM & Technical Documentation (Core Focus)
   • Proficient in AutoCAD (Mandatory): Produce high-quality 2D detail drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for MEP, ACMV, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
   • BIM Modeling: Create and update 3D AutoCAD / Revit models for MEP services to ensure spatial coordination.
   • Technical Drawings: Update Single-Line Diagrams (SLD) and equipment layouts based on site changes.
   • As-Built Updates: Maintain accurate drawing records post-installation to support T&C (Testing & Commissioning) and final handover.
2. Site Coordination & Clash Detection
   • Site Checks: Conduct regular site walks to verify MEP installations align with approved drawings.
   • Clash Resolution: Coordinate MEP services with Architectural, Structural (C&S), and Interior Design (ID) teams to resolve on-site discrepancies before installation.
   • Subcon Management: Liaise with MEP subcontractors to ensure they are working according to the latest approved shop drawings.
3. Authority Submissions & Compliance
   • Prepare technical documentation required for local authority submissions (PUB, BCA, SCDF, WSH standards).
   • Assist the MEP Manager in tracking the status of RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFAs (Requests for Approval) with the consultants/clients.
4. Project & Client Support
   • Assist the MEP Manager in preparing technical presentations or reports for the Client.
   • Track material requirements and equipment deliveries for MEP works.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in M&E Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
