Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore seeks a Senior Assistant Director/Assistant Director for the MedTech Team. You will help shape industry development strategies, engage with MedTech multinational and local companies, and drive partnerships across the R&D ecosystem.

You will lead a small team and coordinate with researchers, clinicians, and government partners to ensure timely execution of collaborative projects and funding discussions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in Healthcare, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering or MedTech/HealthTech with diagnostics or life science instruments exposure.
• Experience in research, development, strategy, business development, or partnerships within medtech or diagnostics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Singapore's RIE ecosystem and HHP community is a plus.
• A passion for developing Singapore’s MedTech ecosystem through public-private partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse industry and R&D trends across major therapeutic areas and technology segments.
• Lead development of industry strategies and manage relationships with MedTech MNCs and local companies.
• Coordinate with researchers and clinicians to propose collaboration projects and assist contract/financing discussions.
• Build networks with academic, clinical, and public-sector partners; support national level initiatives.
