Job summary

A*STAR's Biomedical Sciences Industry Partnership Office (BMSIPO) seeks a Senior Manager/Manager to lead MedTech partnerships with multinational and local companies, spanning R&D collaborations from discovery to manufacturing. You will identify industry trends, foster strategic relationships, and help advance proposals and project agreements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Healthcare, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering or MedTech/HealthTech with a background in diagnostics or life science instrumentation research, clinical research/development, product development or technology commercialization.
• Broad vision of science and technology, able to handle diverse technical topics beyond one’s direct field of education and experience, and awareness of emerging fields.
• Resourcefulness and ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to analyse topics and situations, and make judgements and recommendations.
• Effective and thoughtful communicator.
• Willing, adaptable and flexible to perform required/necessary tasks beyond the job description.
• Ability to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues and manage them in an appropriate manner.
• A self-starter and problem solver who takes initiative and proactively tackles problems, and is quality conscious and results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse key industry and R&D trends across major therapeutic areas and technology segments, and feedback insights into national R&D programmes.
• Drive industry development and company account management; build trusted relationships with MedTech MNCs and local companies, facilitate meetings and proposals, and support project agreements.
• Develop networks with academic, clinical and industry partners in Singapore.
• Drive and support national-level HHP RIE initiatives and multi-institutional programmes.
