Job summary

Sunray Woodcraft (Singapore) seeks a seasoned M&E Coordinator/Manager to lead mechanical and electrical coordination on building projects. You will plan, monitor and oversee M&E activities from design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring alignment with master schedules and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and monitor all M&E activities from design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Develop M&E work programmes aligned with the project master schedule.
• Review project requirements, drawings, specifications, scope of works and contractual obligations relating to M&E systems.
• Review M&E design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions and specifications for constructability and compliance.
• Lead and supervise the execution of M&E works at site.
• Ensure installations are performed according to approved shop drawings, method statements and specifications.
• Coordinate M&E subcontractors to achieve required productivity, sequencing and milestones.
• Manage the performance of M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Review subcontractor work programmes, manpower deployment and progress.
• Coordinate equipment and material procurement requirements with the procurement team.
• Ensure M&E installations comply with project specifications, approved drawings and applicable standards.
• Coordinate inspections with QA/QC personnel, consultants and relevant parties.
• Develop and coordinate the M&E testing and commissioning programme.
• Ensure individual systems are properly inspected, tested and commissioned.
• Coordinate integrated testing of interconnected building systems where applicable.
• Ensure all M&E activities comply with project health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Work closely with the Safety team to identify risks associated with M&E installations, energisation, testing and commissioning.

• Identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies and interface issues before installation.

Construction & Site Execution

• Lead and supervise the execution of M&E works at site.

• Coordinate M&E subcontractors to achieve required productivity, sequencing and milestones.
• Manage the performance of M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in M&E/building services works within the construction industry.
• Preferably 3 to 5 years in a managerial or senior M&E coordination role.
• Have experience in Mechanical and electrical building services, HVAC and mechanical ventilation systems, Electrical power distribution and lighting systems, Building Management System (BMS) coordination.
