Job summary

RAMO INDUSTRIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to plan, supervise and execute maintenance on precast production machinery.

The role focuses on preventing downtime and improving equipment reliability within a large-scale construction environment. Qualifications

• Minimum Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
• 10 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience in large scale building/civil projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit or BIM software.
• Experience with concrete batching plants, mixers, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors, moulding equipment, and lifting systems is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment used in precast concrete production.
• Maintain and troubleshoot precast production machinery including batching plants, mixers, conveyors, moulding systems, lifting equipment, pumps, compressors and hydraulics.
• Diagnose mechanical breakdowns and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and production equipment.
• Inspect components such as bearings, gears, belts, shafts, valves and pumps.

• 7.Monitor the condition andperformance of machinery and recommend repair, replacement, or upgrading ofequipment when required.
• 8.Supervise mechanical repair,installation, alignment, dismantling, and commissioning of equipment.
• 9.Maintain proper records ofequipment breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts, andmaintenance history.
• 10.Manage inventory ofcriticalmechanical spare parts, tools, lubricants, andmaintenance consumables.
• 11.Coordinate with externalcontractors and equipment suppliers for major repairs, servicing, and technicalsupport.
• 12.Inspect and maintain hydraulicand pneumatic systems used in precast production machinery.
• 13.Carry out equipment inspectionsand ensure machinery is operating according to manufacturer specifications.
• 14.Assist in the installation,modification, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and productionlines.
• 15.Review equipment manuals,technical drawings, maintenance procedures, and manufacturer recommendations.
• 16.Identify opportunities to improveequipment reliability, production efficiency, and maintenance costs.
• 17.Ensure all maintenance activitiescomply with company WSH, safety, and environmental requirements.
• 18.Conduct regular inspections ofmachinery to identify potential safety hazards and mechanical defects.
• 19.Prepare maintenance reports andprovide regular updates to management on equipment condition, breakdowns, andmaintenance activities.
• 20.Train and guide technicians andmaintenance workers on proper operation, inspection, and maintenanceprocedures.
• 21. Coordinate maintenance activitiesduring planned production shutdowns and ensure equipment is returned to servicesafely.
• 22.Support investigations intorecurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• 23.Work closely with Production,QA/QC, Safety, and Project teams to maintain uninterrupted precast production.
• 24.Perform any other mechanical maintenance and engineering duties assigned by management.
