Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.

About the Role

Akila Global Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced and hands‑on MechanicalFitter to support our ongoing engineering, maintenance, installation, andproject works in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanicalinstallation, equipment assembly, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting,repair, documentation, and site coordination . The role requires a strongpractical mechanical background, together with the ability to read andinterpret engineering drawings and technical documents and able to work atheight. Candidates should be comfortable working independently at customer andproject sites and coordinating with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors,and other technical personnel .

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair works.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and identify equipment faults.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documents.
• Conduct inspection and testing of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Dismantle, install, align, and assemble mechanical equipment and components.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or similar role .
• Practical experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Good knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and fitting techniques.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work at different project sites in Singapore.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in industrial environments.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Education

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant technical or vocational qualifications in mechanical fitting or maintenance will be an advantage.
• Candidates without formal qualifications but with strong relevant hands‑on experience may also be considered.
• Relevant safety and technical certifications will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• 4-6 years or more of relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or similar position.
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical installation, equipment assembly, dismantling, maintenance, and repair .
• Experience with pumps, valves, piping, rotating equipment, machinery, or other industrial mechanical equipment .
• Experience in process plants, oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, or industrial engineering projects will be preferred.
• Experience with equipment alignment and basic mechanical troubleshooting .
• Experience working at customer/project sites and coordinating with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors .
• Experience in shutdown, turnaround, maintenance, or project works will be an advantage.
