Job summary

Swagatham Global Connect is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for marine and shipyard environments in Singapore. The role involves assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, reading drawings, and performing safe, precise fittings.

Candidates should have practical experience in mechanical fitting, pumps, valves, and related systems, with ability to use hand and power tools. Accommodation is provided by the company and duties follow MOM regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter is preferred.
• Experience working with mechanical machinery, pumps, valves, pipes, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical fitting, installation, maintenance, and repair activities in marine and shipyard environments.
• Assemble, dismantle, install, and maintain mechanical equipment and components.
• Carry out fitting and alignment of machinery, equipment, pipes, pumps, valves, and related components.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work according to technical instructions.
• Assist with installation and replacement of mechanical parts and equipment.
• Inspect machinery and components to identify wear, damage, or mechanical faults.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical equipment safely and correctly.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Assist engineers, supervisors, and technicians with mechanical work as required.
• Read and understand basic mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical instructions.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all shipyard safety procedures and company work instructions.
• Perform other mechanical fitting duties assigned by the company.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: SGD 800 SGD 1,000 per month
• Overtime: Available, subject to company requirements and applicable regulations

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter is preferred.
• Practical experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience working with mechanical machinery, pumps, valves, pipes, and related equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical measuring instruments.
• Basic ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
• Experience in marine, shipyard, offshore, industrial, or engineering environments will be an advantage.
• Good mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely in a shipyard and marine environment.
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual and technical mechanical work.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
