Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with site experience.
• Experience in construction, MEP or building services projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documents.
• AutoCAD proficiency; BIM/Revit familiarity is an advantage.
• Willingness to work at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works on-site to meet quality and schedule.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, architectural, and electrical teams for integrated execution.
• Monitor site progress and verify conformity with drawings, specs, and safety rules.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate testing/commissioning to validate performance.
• Prepare method statements, inspection requests, material submissions, and documentation.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team to resolve issues promptly.
• Identify delays or technical problems and propose practical solutions.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, procurement, and project planning as needed.
• Review and maintain project docs, including as-built drawings and test records.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of mechanical and building services works for construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering coordination, site supervision, installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and safety requirements. The candidate will work closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other engineering disciplines to ensure mechanical works are completed safely, efficiently and according to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works at construction sites to maintain quality standards and adhere to project schedules
• Collaborate with civil, structural, architectural, and electrical teams to integrate mechanical works seamlessly into overall project execution
• Monitor site progress and verify that mechanical works conform to approved drawings, project specifications, and safety regulations
• Conduct inspections and coordinate testing and commissioning activities to validate mechanical system performance and compliance
• Prepare and review method statements, inspection requests, material submissions, and technical documentation to ensure project compliance
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members to resolve technical and site issues promptly and effectively
• Monitor quality and progress of mechanical works, identify potential delays or technical problems, and propose practical solutions
• Assist with quantity take-offs, material requirements, procurement, and project planning to support efficient project execution
• Review and maintain project documentation, including as-built drawings, testing records, and handover documents for accurate project records
• Ensure mechanical works comply with Singapore regulations, applicable codes, project specifications, and workplace safety requirements
• Attend project coordination meetings and provide engineering and technical support to project stakeholders
• Perform other mechanical engineering and construction-related duties as assigned to support project objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant experience in construction, MEP, building services, or mechanical engineering projects
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage
• Good knowledge of construction practices, site coordination, and quality control
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Willingness to work at construction project sites as required
