Job summary

LINDE GAS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to lead planning, execution and monitoring of contractor activities in our Singapore facility.

You will troubleshoot issues, coordinate shutdowns, and ensure PM programs meet local and global requirements. You will review risk assessments, maintain equipment records, participate in RCA, and drive EMOC-driven improvements. The role also supports audits and BOM updates to sustain reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry or Diploma holder with 7 years maintenance experience Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry preferred.
• Experience in a Gas Plant such as Gasification/SMR/ASU is an advantage
• Good knowledge on design and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as steam boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, piping, valves, compressors, pumps etc
• Good knowledge of industrial standards such as API, ASME etc for mechanical equipment

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor maintenance activities for contractor routines and non-routine tasks.
• Troubleshoot and provide guidance when issues arise.
• Plan and coordinate shutdown maintenance for mechanical equipment based on PM requirements, vendor recommendations and industry best practices.
• Review risk assessments and maintenance procedures regularly.
• Upkeep maintenance records for equipment modifications, repairs and rerating activities.
• Identify and update discrepancies in plant equipment records or field conditions.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for process incidents and failures, implement corrective actions.
• Initiate Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) and execute changes for plant improvement.
• Support audits and ensure timely closure of audit actions.
• Identify bad actors and drive reliability improvements via short- and long-term solutions.
• Review spare parts availability and initiate BOM updates.
