Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance of power plant equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

You will lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, perform frontline troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and mentor the maintenance team while using CMMS for work orders and records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in power/industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment and lubrication systems.

About the role

Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, within schedule, and within budget. Support the power plant in achieving its contractual, operational, technical, and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for plant equipment and utility systems
• Perform frontline troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve equipment failures and maximize plant reliability and availability
• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with industry best practices
• Manage daily manpower planning, work allocation, and resource utilization for maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and work orders within the CMMS
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, and company standards, including proper use of PPE by all personnel
• Develop and enhance team competencies through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in a power plant, process plant, petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators), valves, fans, blowers, and other rotating equipment
• Hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of plant equipment and utility systems
• Familiarity with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies
• Sound understanding of equipment installation, system troubleshooting, routine inspection, and maintenance practices
• Knowledge of vibration analysis, machinery alignment, and condition monitoring techniques
• Good understanding of lubrication systems and maintenance best practices for rotating equipment
• Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning, tracking, and record keeping
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
