Job summary

SINGAPORE LNG CORPORATION PTE. LTD. seeks a maintenance engineer to oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance across the plant. Work with supervisors, production teams and engineers to ensure reliability and safety.

Responsibilities include planning tasks, coordinating with contractors and vendors, managing CMMS data, ensuring valve operation and LOTO procedures, and communicating effectively in English. LNG familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of practical experience in oil and petrochemical refinery.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical/machinery systems (compressor/pump; diesel/gas engine).
• Familiar with Permit to Work system and local codes/regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and CMMS (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience with LNG/Natural Gas or gas engine maintenance is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as directed by Supervisor.
• Maintain rotating and static equipment and plant piping and structural support systems.
• Respond to and resolve work orders to minimize downtime.
• Plan materials, spares, tools and methods for safe maintenance tasks.
• Plan machinery condition monitoring with production team and engineers.
• Ensure valves are operational; grease and lubricate mechanical components.
• Supervise in-house contractor and vendors; enforce permits and PPE.
• Coordinate valve line-up and LOTO for operations or maintenance prep.
• Support CERT activities as assigned.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following scope of tasks and duties:

1. Carry out all preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as directed by the Supervisor and clear completed work from the CMMS data base.
2. Responsible for the proper maintenance on various rotating and static equipment and systems including the plant piping systems and structural support systems.
3. Response and resolve work orders for any mal-functioning for static and rotating equipment in the facility. Ensure minimum down time or timely repairs of production equipment.
4. Determine materials, spares, tools and method required to complete maintenance task safely.
5. Plan and execute machinery condition monitoring and field data collection with production team and engineers.
6. Ensure all plant valves are fully operational and all mechanical components properly grease and lubricated where applicable, including carry out, strip, redress and rebuild of various types of control and plant valves.
7. Supervise and work closely with in-house contractor and equipment vendor to execute maintenance work at the terminal. Ensure safeguards are followed such as valid work permit are issued, wearing prescribed personal protection equipment etc.
8. Liaise with production team with all aspects of mechanical system testing, running, trouble-shooting, carry out material specification checks on all installed piping components such as gasket, bolts, etc.
9. Able to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by superiors.
10. Able to perform valve line up & LOTO for operations or maintenance preparations.
11. The incumbent shall be part of the Company's Emergency Response Team(CERT) and perform any assigned roles and responsibilities (ie fire fighter etc) for such purposes.

Work Experience

1. Minimum of 3-5 years practical experience in the oil and petrochemical refinery.
2. Experience in hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical/ machinery systems i.e compressor/pump and diesel/gas engine.
3. Familiar with Permit to Work system and local codes, regulations and standards requirement.
4. Proficient in usage of Microsoft Office and trained in the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); ie SAP.
5. Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
6. Experience with LNG/Natural Gas or gas engine generator maintenance and operations will be an added advantage.
7. In addition, successful candidate should possess the following personal attributes:

Education Requirement
