YTL POWERSERAYA PTE. LIMITED is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance professional to uphold high reliability of major CCPP equipment.

You will plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for gas and steam turbines, generators, HRSG, and auxiliaries, while managing outages and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role involves troubleshooting like vibration analysis and borescope inspections, plus planning overhauls, QA/QC, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Combined Cycle Power Plant or Oil & Gas environment with hands-on exposure to turbines and HRSG.
  • Strong safety mindset with good understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW) and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, review and execute preventive, corrective and outage maintenance for major CCPP equipment.
  • Support troubleshooting activities such as vibration analysis and borescope inspections; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan, manage and optimise minor and major overhauls, including contractor supervision, QA/QC and safety compliance.
  • Conduct functional tests on mechanical systems, analyse failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and implement plant improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Supervise maintenance contract works and develop procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Prepare technical specifications for equipment, spare parts and services; support procurement.
  • Collaborate with technical officers and technicians to ensure safety and workmanship during daily operations and shutdowns.

Job description

As part of the Mechanical Maintenance team, you will contribute to the effective maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring high reliability and availability while meeting statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, review, and execute preventive, corrective, and outage maintenance for major Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) equipment, including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSG, and plant auxiliaries.
  • Support troubleshooting activities such as vibration analysis, borescope inspections, and root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions for mechanical failures.
  • Plan, manage, and optimise minor and major overhauls, including scope development, contractor supervision, QA/QC, and safety compliance.
  • Conduct functional tests on mechanical systems, analyse failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate and implement plant improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, availability, and overall plant performance.
  • Supervise maintenance contract works and develop work procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Prepare technical specifications for equipment, spare parts, and services, and support procurement activities to meet maintenance requirements.
  • Work closely with technical officers and technicians to ensure high standards of workmanship and safety during daily operations and shutdown maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board.
  • Experience in a Combined Cycle Power Plant or Oil & Gas environment, with hands-on exposure to Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSG, and mechanical auxiliary systems, including contractor management, outage planning, and preparation of technical reports, will be an advantage. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Sound technical knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance strategies, outage practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong safety mindset with good understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW), risk assessments, and statutory safety requirements.
