Job summary

Linde in Singapore seeks a senior maintenance engineer for rotating equipment to plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs. You will lead troubleshooting, support condition monitoring, and coordinate shutdown activities in alignment with global PM requirements and vendor recommendations.

The role requires strong knowledge of rotating equipment, oil analysis, vibration monitoring, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma with required years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical.
• Experience in Gas Plant operations (Gasification/SMR/ASU) is advantageous.
• Experience leading overhaul of major rotating equipment (steam turbines, compressors, pumps).
• Knowledge of rotating equipment design and maintenance.
• Familiarity with oil analysis and vibration monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of API and ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Planning, execution and monitoring of contractor routine and non-routine maintenance activities
• Lead troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues and guidance to Operations
• Planning and coordination of shutdown maintenance activities of rotating equipment based on local and Global PM requirements, vendor recommendation & industrial best practices
• Support condition monitoring programs (vibration monitoring, oil analysis etc.)
• Review risk assessment and maintenance procedures regularly
• Upkeep maintenance records for repairs, overhauls & modifications
• Identify and update discrepancies in plant equipment records or on field
• Participate in RCA on process incidents and equipment failures, recommend corrective actions and follow up closure
• Initiate EMOC and execute changes for plant improvement
• Facing External / Internal Audit and closing actions within time limit
• Identifying bad actors in the plant and reliability improvement by short term and long-term solutions
• Review spare parts availability and initiate BOM update as required

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Planning, execution and monitoring of contractor routine and non-routine maintenance activities
• Lead troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues and provide guidance to Operations
• Planning and coordination of shutdown maintenance activities of rotating equipment based on local and Global PM requirements, vendor recommendation & industrial best practices
• Support condition monitoring programs (vibration monitoring, oil analysis etc.)
• Review risk assessment and maintenance procedures on regular basis
• Upkeep maintenance records for equipment repairs, overhauls & modifications
• Identify and update discrepancies in plant equipment records or on field
• Participate in the root cause analysis (RCA) on process incidents and process inducted rotating equipment failures, recommend corrective actions to permanently eliminate them and follow up on closure of the actions
• Initiate the Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) and execute the changes for plant improvement and modification works
• Facing External / Internal Audit and closing of the actions within given time limit
• Identifying bad actors in the plant and reliability improvement by implementing short term and long-term solutions
• Review spare parts availability and initiate BOM update as required

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry or Diploma holder with 10 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry preferred
• Experience in a Gas Plant such as Gasification/SMR/ASU is an advantage
• Experience in leading overhaul of major rotating equipment including steam turbine, compressors and pumps
• Good knowledge on design and maintenance of all type of rotating equipment such as steam turbine, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, screw compressors, expanders, multistage pumps etc.
• Good knowledge on oil analysis & vibration monitoring systems such as Bently Nevada System 1 or equivalent
• Good knowledge of industrial standards such as API, ASME etc for rotating equipment & associated auxiliary static equipment
